Paul & I had a great conversation about how he came about being a DJ and how he became owner/operator of The Music Machine. We talked about our history of working together at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour at Scottsdale Mall in the 80’s, my demand to hire him as DJ for my daughter’s wedding, & some of the nutty experiences he has had as a DJ. Paul is the best DJ I’ve seen and is a great event planner. You can reach Paul via the links below:
I’m re-upping my first interview for the podcast with Jeff Petermann for 2 reasons:
- I was a newb and uploaded it as a .wav file instead of an .mp3 file and it won’t play in some podcast apps.
- Jeff was just mentioned in an Elkhart Truth article and I think it’s a good idea to get to know your candidates for congress. Jeff was kind enough to help me out when I was starting the podcast and I want to ensure his message is heard.
So, if you already listened to the podcast, maybe give it another listen so you’re an informed voter. If you haven’t listened, now you have another chance! You also get to hear mow awkward I was just a few weeks ago.
Here’s the article in the Elkhart Truth mentioned above:
I was fortunate to have Dave approach me to be on the podcast. Dave was a teacher in the South Bend School system for 15 years and is now an administrator. Dave is also an accomplished musician and has written some beautiful music. His live rendition of “143 Means I Love You” just about had me in tears! We talked about his music, teaching, today’s kids, & why his 105 year old grandmother declined an invitation for induction into the Daughters of the American Revolution. Don’t shut down your podcast app after the interview. There is a bonus track of his ode to Evel Knievel. This interview is a real gem!
So, a lot of folks are asking me why I started The Michiana People Podcast and what it’s all about. If you’ve listened to the first six episodes, I’m sure you realize that I’m talking…
Corinne is and Associate Producer for Politically Speaking on WNIT Public Television. She is also finishing up her degree in Political Science at IUSB, and is the mother of a 1st and 3rd grader. Corinne and I talked about producing Politically Speaking, local & national politics, and raising children in a non-religious home.
I had a great conversation with Dave Dale, founder of Elephant Rescue band. Dave is very passionate about music and this interview shows it. We recorded in a bar so it’s a little noisy. You can check out Dave’s shows and announcements on his Facebook Page here:
I talk to my old friend, Ross Deal in this episode. Ross is 3rd District Congressman for The City of Mishawaka. Ross and I had a good talk about local politics, family, and keeping fit after 50.
